And the stairs have an interesting curve in them that some people think is scary I personally love the character. The house was built in 1913 so I'm sure you would love it :)Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07759070512652952764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794588544765612554.post-31391368217463719632012-03-17T18:55:30.186-07:002012-03-17T18:55:30.186-07:00Oh I love rustic, and I love the rail and gate of ...Oh I love rustic, and I love the rail and gate of your friend's home! Genious! We have a builder banister, typical oak that leads upstairs and to our basement guest suite. I have plans to paint it, but it will never be as cool as the one in your photos. There are old family photos going up our stairway and hall along with a couple of old branding irons that we no longer use. I love barnwood too. I LOVE this house. Anything old and historic reachs out and grabs me by the throat.

As for the sideways photo, I used to have the same problem. Before you send it to Picnik, you can rotate it in the folder on your own computer. After you have it, left click on your mouse. Then click on the rotate clockwise button and wait for the photo to turn. Then go to picnik or to blogger and upload it to your blog post. It should stay where you put it then. E-mail me back if this isn't clear and I'll try to explain better. Good luck.Bonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11159582653513181811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794588544765612554.post-51114630235956509752012-03-10T11:39:10.425-08:002012-03-10T11:39:10.425-08:00Oh I love that!!! That is a little rustic, right? Probably that cobweb way up high that drives me crazy is rustic (but apparently it does not bother me enough to get rid of it).

(I open my pictures in Paint and rotate them there if nothing else works.)Lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06865563846924591282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794588544765612554.post-2723461260737595052012-03-10T08:25:48.357-08:002012-03-10T08:25:48.357-08:00I haven't figured out yet what to do with our ...I haven't figured out yet what to do with our newly refurbished very tight-quarters staircase.
